# Empress FX

Empress FX is a practical makeup FX and props studio based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, founded by Ellie Rowlands and Nerida Karlen. The studio designs and builds prosthetics, creatures, animatronics, puppets, hero props, miniatures and set pieces for film, television and commercials, and provides on-set application. The team brings nearly 30 years of combined experience, with credits including Shogun, Deadpool, Isle of Dogs, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Spectre.
